Do you have two hours a week to volunteer? Do you want to contribute to your community? Consider becoming a library volunteer!
Adult or teen (ages 12-17) volunteers support the library in many ways. Positions include shelving, filing, telephone duties, greeting or helping at self-check. Adult and teen volunteer opportunities are based on individual needs of the library. Current positions listed below.
Applications are available for teens at the children’s members service desk or on our website. Applications are accepted only when positions are available, and returned in person at the desired location. Now accepting applications for Teen Volunteers beginning, Mon, Jan. 13. Applicants will need to attend & pass a brief assessment & then attend orientation. Assessment dates will be scheduled when the application is submitted.
Books-By-Mail AssistantRecruiting at
Adult Volunteers needed to process Library materials for mailing /postal service pickup. Duties: empty mail gurney of book bags, discharge and shelve materials and books by alphabetical/numerical order. Use of personal computer SIRSI workflow, book trucks, crates, step stool, hand trucks and library security equipment. 2-3 days per week, 2 hours per day and mornings are preferred.
