Did You Know?

In the U.S., 22% of adults function at the lowest levels of literacy. In Palm Beach County, that’s over 70,000 adults! Simple tasks present huge barriers:

  • Completing a job application and preparing for the interview.
  • Obtaining citizenship and registering to vote.
  • Helping children with homework and communicating with their teachers.
  • Filling out medical forms and following medication instructions.

A highly rewarding experience awaits!

  • Volunteer a few hours each week to make a difference.
  • Teach an adult to read, write or speak English.
  • Materials and training are offered free-of-charge.
